Our Process

Marquis has a long track record of driving innovation and technology change within our processing facilities, as well as working with growers to improve their on-farm practices and increase productivity. This keeps our facilities leading the industry to continually set the standards and shape the methods used for processing macadamias.

Macadamias are a hard nut to crack, but more than worth the effort. Our extensive processes ensure only the most delicious nuts are delivered to our customers.

Our Facilities

The Marquis Group’s facilities include processing plants in both Australia (owned by Australian growers) and South Africa (owned by South African growers). This diversity of origin helps Marquis provide year-round reliability of product from the two major growing regions.

Our facilities hold the highest quality certifications, including: BRC, HACCP, WQA, Organic, KOSHER, HALAL, AQIS and EuroGap.  

Some of our achievements include being the first macadamia processor in the world to install a validated 5-log salmonella kill step through the installation of a Napasol pasteurisation machine in 2015. We also introduced a new nut-in-shell receivals system, improving the quality of kernel reaching the factory and reducing both on-farm costs and the loss of saleable kernel by growers.

Most importantly, our continuous drive to improve our facilities with industry-leading technology has standardised product produced at all Marquis factories.
