The India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA) has announced the finalists for the 2024 IABCA Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions to fostering the bilateral relationship between India and Australia. Marquis Marketing, the Sales and Marketing branch of Marquis Macadamias, has been nominated under the distinguished category of “IABCA Excellence in Trade & Investment.”

After an extensive selection process involving 400 nominees spanning diverse sectors, the IABCA Jury and Advisory revealed the list of organisations and business leaders who have demonstrated excellence in promoting trade and investment opportunities between India and Australia.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 15 August 2024, at The Great Hall, Parliament of Australia, Canberra. It promises to be a spectacular gala dinner where winners will be recognised for their exceptional contributions.

Marquis stands out as a nominee in the “Excellence in Trade & Investment” Category, recognising organisations and projects that have generated significant trade and investment opportunities between India and Australia. A prominent name in the global macadamia industry, in November 2023, Marquis announced a historic achievement with its first shipment of macadamias to India under the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). The inaugural shipment arrived in India just in time for the Australian Macadamia Festival, organised by the Australian Macadamias Society. Funded by the Queensland Government’s Food and Fibre to Market: Industry Partnerships program, the Festival was held from September 30 to October 14 in Mumbai, where Marquis Macadamias played a pivotal role as a key supplier.

“We are honoured to be recognised as finalists in the IABCA Awards under the ‘Excellence in Trade & Investment’ category. This nomination reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful trade relationships between India and Australia,” said Don Ross, Managing Director at Marquis Marketing.

The Marquis Group is 100% grower-owned. With two state-of-the-art factories in Australia, Marquis Macadamias processes over 23,000 tonnes of nut-in-shell annually.
